EHS Compliance Specialist
Key Responsibilities
-Lead and maintain EBI compliance programs, including but not limited to customer, regulatory, environmental, and social compliance requirements.
-Coordinate compliance audits, assessments, certifications, corrective action plans, and required documentation.
-Maintain accurate compliance records and ensure policies, procedures, and supporting documentation remain current.
-Support EHS programs, including workplace safety inspections, incident documentation, safety training, OSHA compliance, and corrective actions.
-Identify compliance risks and work with management to implement corrective and preventive measures.
-Serve as a primary point of contact for internal and external compliance audits.
-Coordinate with Human Resources to ensure proper onboarding, orientation, and required training for new and existing employees.
-Track and maintain required employee safety and compliance training records and assist with scheduling refresher or recurring training as needed.
-Assist with the development, implementation, and communication of EHS and compliance policies and procedures.
-Partner with management and employees to promote a strong culture of safety, compliance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
-Perform additional EHS and compliance-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
-Previous compliance experience is highly preferred, particularly within a manufacturing, industrial, or regulated environment.
-Experience working with compliance programs such as C-TPAT, IWAY, FSC, OSHA, environmental, customer, or social compliance standards is strongly preferred.
-Experience in EHS, safety, manufacturing, auditing, or a related field preferred.
-Strong organizational, documentation, and follow-up skills with a high level of attention to detail.
-Ability to interpret and apply policies, standards, regulations, and audit requirements.
-Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization.
-Ability to manage multiple compliance programs, audits, projects, and deadlines simultaneously.
-Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic recordkeeping systems.
